quand septembre fut venu!
C'est en grand manque d'inspiration que je me suis retrouvée à la veille de vous montrer un projet pour ce challenge de septembre...
Pire, mon logiciel de traitement d'image a disparu de mon ordinateur!
I had a total lack of inspiration at the time to show you my September's project...
Worse, my picture processing software has disappeared from my computer!
Le recyclage étant une valeur sûre, me suis-je dit, voyons ce que j'ai sous la main: un emballage d'écran ou de je ne sais quel appareil high tech... et des découpes de papier issues d'un projet de scrap très très spécial et qui (tout s'explique) me prend tout mon temps libre en ce moment (peut-être vous le montrerai-je...):
Recycling being a solid value, let's see what I have to hand: a cardboard packing and paper die cuts leftovers from a very special scrapbooking project that takes all my time these days (that explains everything). Maybe I will show it to you one day...
L'emballage était un cadre tout trouvé. Quant aux découpes, elles m'ont fait penser à ces algues qui poussent au fond de la mer.
Alors voilà ce qui en est sorti:
The carboard was a perfect frame, while the die cuts reminded me of these sea weeds.
So that's what came out:
Après l'avoir couvert de Gesso, j'ai peint le cadre avec différents tons d'acrylique bleue.
After a coat of Gesso, I painted the frame with different shades of blue.
J'ai peint le papier à l'acrylique aussi,
I also painted the paper with acrylics,
j'ai ombré les bords des algues,
I inked the edges of the weeds,
ajouté des gros coquillages,
added big shells,
du sable,
sand,
et projeté du Gesso blanc pour figurer des bulles d'air.
and sprayed white Gesso to represent bubbles.
Et voilà un petit tableau de saison!
Promis, je ferai mieux la prochaine fois!
And here is a small seasonal painting!

What fabulous strands of coral in the vivid blue waters. I love the depth of this little scene, and the delicious sandy texture. I hope you will be able to share the scrapbooking project with us some day... it would be lovely to see what you're up to!
