A new month and a new challenge at Our Creative Corner!
Today Trish invites us to have our head in the stars:
"Wish Upon a Star
My challenge to you all this month is a very simple one...Stars!
I have a passion for stars. Stars are incorporated into my email addresses, internet log ins, business name and even my tattoos :)
I would love for you all to share your creations, full of stars!
Star stamps, star die cuts, star embellishments, star shaped backgrounds, it's up to you!"
Use lots, or just the one, as long as there is a star somewhere, you're good to go!

I wanted nature, and I rather thought about a starfish... but the season wasn't favorable, so this is a musical star, rounded by nature:

 La voici sous le soleil:
Here it is in the sun:

I love how glass beads transform the light!

I started with a piece of corrugated board, whose I torn the surface on some places. I put a thin coat of Gesso, then texture paste here and there.

I inked the edges and reliefs with Vintage photo DI. I cut a star I dressed with a music sheet serviette and inked too.
Natural elements are cinnamon sticks and shells from a potpourri. I cut three paper strips, and painted the cardboard letters with Vintage photo Distress crackled paint.

I added beads and a cotton thread to attach the sticks and the hanging, spread glass beads and at last sprayed white paint.
Et voilà!

  1. Gosh Lys - this is too beautiful. I am not even sure I have enough words to convey how much I love your piece. I loved the addition of the cinammon sticks and pods, I loved how you crackled the NOEL. I loved the rustic look of the distressed corrugated card. The patterned paper strips and embellishments pulled the whole thing together absolutely perfectly! What a magnificent project, I could look at it all day! - hugs - (Candice) Tincan Crafter!
