For a long time I wished I took my Gelli Plate out again, and experiment with inks (which is not recommended but I have a taste for adventure!)
Of course (?) my first attempts were not successful:
et j'étais sur le point de jeter ce papier... quand j'ai tenté quelque chose:
and I was about to waste this paper when I tried something:
Je l'ai recoupé,
tamponné,
stamped it,
stamped again the ship on a larger card,
that I inked and stamped again...
Et voilà!
J'inscris cette carte aux challenges
Spring is in the air, A Vintage Journey
et
From trash to treasure, Stamps and Stencils
(even if I recycle here only my own product).
Bon dimanche!
Lys.
Lys, it would have been such a shame to waste the paper, it was beautiful before but I love how you transformed it, it is gorgeous!

RépondreSupprimerGreat use of that almost wasted paper, although why would you waste that? It was pretty as it was! But your finished project is just gorgeous! Happy you saw the potential! Hugs!

RépondreSupprimerSo beautiful!
RépondreSupprimerOh gorgeous - so glad you didn't throw away your inky scrap - it makes a really magical creation in the end. Love the ship, and the background script - and the twine and metal button finish it off perfectly. Thanks so much for joining us on A Vintage Journey.

Wonderful inking and stamping - that ship is beautiful layered over the script - thank you for joining us in the AVJ Spring challenge! Julia xx
RépondreSupprimerLove your nautical project with that great vintage ship and the script. The colour palette is perfect for this piece, which would be special for a fellow. So glad you saved the Gelli print and transformed it into this - way better than putting it in the garbage. Thanks for joining us at Stamps and Stencils.
