The theme “use kraft card” was a bit baffling for me, as these days I play more often with Spring colours…and I would have left aside brown kraft...

But a challenge is a challenge! So here is a light layout: a Spring shrub with its little white, slightly pink flowers, which gets out its wintry peel, underneath the blue sky…

I started with cutting a shrub with Cameo machine.

With the mask I embossed the kraft card, which I inked with DI peeled paint, antique linen and vintage photo, then torn starting in the middle.

I cut again the shrub in a printed paper (we can't see it at all on the photo!), and I inked it in green.

I put a bit of pink ink on the edges of the flowers.

The background is a blue Canson paper inked with different blues and a bit of white.

Quelques tampons finissent le tout.

I love how the branches and blossoms are emerging out of the torn kraft paper, and the beautiful embossing and the vintage text - it all works perfectly together. What a wonderful guest piece - so lovely to have you with us at Country View Challenges.
