The main character is a bird, quietly set in the garden,

among the flowers,

and the first berries of Spring.
Il a fait son nid,
He made his nest,
et les perles de rosée vont bientôt disparaître au soleil,
and the dew pearls soon are going to disappear in the sunshine,
