Some time ago, I dived again into my genealogical researches. I started in 2008 to make my children tree, but when I went back to them, I found the way to online archives thanks to the Internet, and could progress quickly to many generations.
In order to work methodically I needed a journal where writing down the steps of my discoveries.

Le voici:
Here it is:

It's a journal assembled like a Midori,
with (for the moment) two signatures binded with a twine cord.
The covers are from Memoranda Tim Holtz papers (I tried to find those in French!)
and inside, the pages are just lightly stamped, to give space to writing.

On the cover, a photo of my mother as a child...
... qui me rappelle étrangement celle-ci:
... which strangely reminds me of this one:
So when I tell you it's
a Journey in Time,
c'est bien ça!
that's it!

I started with a notebook found in my attic. I removed the binding and built a spine in cardboard.

For the background I used scraps of Madame Payraud's papers. Then I glued my mother photo at the place of the initial photo.

There's a coat of Gesso then DecoArt paintings. I added stamps here and there. the title is cut with my Cameo Silhouette, and embossed with Tim Holtz rusty effect powder. The photo is coated with crackle varnish.
