Waiting for holidays and to forget the bad weather here... I invite you for a walk on the beach:

L'étoile de mer est un petit souvenir acheté là-bas mais...
The starfish is a souvenir bought there but...
the shells and the sand were picked up on the beach.
The anchor is cut with Cameo Silhouette and painted, then covered with Distress rust powder and heat.

The cardboard frame is covered with sand texture paste.

And I'm quite happy with my panelling, made thanks to Manue and her faux-bois technique.

J'inscris ce cadre aux challenges:
"Anything goes", Creative Artist Challenge,
"Summertime fun!", Anything but Cute,
"Reach for the stars" , The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge,

A bientôt!
Lys.

  1. You certainly have created a beautiful and welcoming beach scene Lys, I absolutely love the faux wood panelling at the back, it looks so realistic - and adding the real starfish is a lovely touch.

Thanks so much for joining in our Summertime Fun challenge at Anything But Cute. Hugs, Anne xx

  2. Wow, Lys! this is delightful! I love that rusted anchor, the sandy frame and that fantastic wooden background! I see you linked this up at Anything But Cute, so I will thank you for joining our Summertime Fun challenge! Would you be so kind as to leave a link for this faux bois technique on my blog? I've found a few others, but none for the name you listed. I would love to give it a try, although I don't think I could make it look this good! Bravo, Lys! Hugs! (Sara Emily DT)
