Carnet à empor'thé (DT Creative Artiste)

Bonjour et bienvenue au 49ème challenge de Creative Artiste Mixed Media!

Hi and welcome to the 49th challenge at Creative Artiste Mixed Media!

Je vous montre aujourd'hui un carnet altéré, un carnet à "empor'thé" que j'ai offert à Sophie en remerciement de toute l'attention, les encouragements et tous les bidules, babioles et autres boîtes qu'elle me met de côté au profit de ma créativité.

I show you today a mini book I made for Sophie, a coworker of mine, to thank her for the attention, the bits and bobs and boxes she gives me and leaves to my creativity.

C'est un carnet fermé par un élastique, qui contient une boîte.

It's a book closed by an elastic string with a box inside.

 Dans la boîte, deux fentes pour recevoir des sachets de thé.

In the box, two slots to receive teabags.

Et a l'intérieur de la couverture, une citation de Lu Yu;

And inside the cover, a quote from Lu Yu: "We drink tea to forget the noise of the world."

Au départ c'est un agenda, dont je n'ai gardé que la couverture. J'ai passé de la peinture sur les inscriptions.

I started with a planner whom I kept only the covers. I applied paint on the writings. 

 J'ai appliqué d'autres peintures, à la brosse sèche. J'ai imprimé une image composée de photos de fleurs et du titre. J'ai emprunté ce jeu de mots à un carnet que vendait un magasin.

I applied other paints with dry brush. I printed on a tissue paper an image made with flowers and the title. I borrowed this pun to a notebook sold by a shop.

 La boîte est faite avec un papier fort imprimé; des fentes sont découpées, et renforcées à l'intérieur par de l'adhésif et une butée en papier pour le sachet du haut.

The box is made with a printed cardstock; slots are cut and strengthened by adhesive tape and a cardstock stop for the upper teabag.

La boîte est collée sur la troisième de couverture. La citation est imprimée et collée en face. 

The box is glued on the inside third cover, while the quote is printed and glued on the opposite.
