Mon livre d'apothicaire

Autumn is coming and it's time to tidy up... A stroll in the attic is necessary. This is what I found there:

An ancient  book. Not big but thick, and especially heavy. Intrigued, I turned it on each side...

An apothecary book! and a tag which says: "choose your poison"!

 J'ai eu hâte de l'ouvrir:
I couldn't wait to open it:
Inside, a vial, hidden in the pages.

 L'étiquette a l'air difficile à déchiffrer...
The label is difficult to decipher...
I don't know yet if this syrup is a poison... Maybe I will think until Halloween to test it... What do you reckon?

 *     *     *
All began... with 3 pieces of thick cardboard for the covers and the spine. They are assembled with gummed kraft. On the spine, 5 pieces of string are glued.

Then I glued tissue paper I crumpled before. And I painted the whole.
I cut a cardboard to make a nest for the vial. I stucked a page of old book on the front, and a paper I lined and inked, inside.
The labels are taken from Mme Payraud's papers, and an Andy Skinner stamp.
The vial is a perfume bottle (alreday in brown glass) I let alcohol inks drip on, and coated with crackle glaze.

J'inscris mon livre aux challenges suivants:
